Site and service operated by nicolas — yourcfo@tankmail.lat
This policy explains what personal data YourCFO collects through this website, why it is collected, who can access it and how you can have it corrected or deleted. It applies to the public website, to the waitlist form published on it, and to the company setup application you reach after creating an account.
1. Who is responsible for your data
This site and the service are operated by nicolas, contact yourcfo@tankmail.lat. nicolas is the person responsible for the personal data described here and is the point of contact for any request about it. YourCFO is the commercial name of the service; there is no separate registered company behind it at this time.
2. What data we collect
From the waitlist form on the home page:
- Your name (up to 80 characters).
- Your email address.
- An optional message of up to 1,000 characters, if you choose to write one.
- The page address the form was submitted from, sent automatically by your browser as the referring URL.
If you create an account and set your company up in the application:
- Your email address and a password. The password is never stored as you typed it: only a scrypt hash of it is kept, and it cannot be read back by us or by anyone with a copy of the database.
- Your company setup: legal name, the tax ID or internal identifier you enter, country, currency, owner name and email, the name of your accountant, and the business context you give us — industry, approximate annual revenue, number of employees, years operating, accounting system and whether you already close monthly.
- The reporting periods and the business units you register.
- The accounting files you upload — trial balances, chart of accounts, ledger movements and your revenue and cost sources — together with the source you register for each one, the period it covers and any note you write to answer an exception.
The accounting files you upload are your company's business data and may contain personal data about your staff or your own customers if your exports include it. Please upload only the accounting information the setup asks for. We do not ask for and do not process bank credentials, payment card data or national identification numbers of individuals, and there is no other form on this site.
3. Why we collect it
The waitlist data is used to contact you about the parts of YourCFO that are not delivered yet, to ask follow-up questions about what you need them to answer, and to inform you of pricing when it is defined.
The account and company setup data is used to run the service you asked for: to identify you when you log in, to hold your company setup between sessions, to check whether your company fits what the product covers today, to validate the files you upload and to tell you what is still missing. We do not use any of it for advertising and we do not sell, rent or trade it.
4. Your consent
You give your consent by submitting the waitlist form or by creating an account, both of which carry a visible notice linking to this policy. Providing the data is voluntary; if you do not submit the form you simply are not added to the waitlist, and if you do not set your company up there is nothing for the service to work on. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to yourcfo@tankmail.lat, and we will remove you from the list.
5. Who can access it
Waitlist submissions are transmitted to and stored on the Tank platform, the service used to operate this website and to receive its signups; it acts as our processor and holds the data on our behalf. Your account, your company setup and the files you upload are stored in this application's own database, on the infrastructure that runs the site. Only nicolas and any person working directly on YourCFO can read them. No page or endpoint on this site shows one account's company setup or files to another account, and none is readable without logging in. We disclose data to third parties only when a competent authority requires it under an applicable legal obligation.
6. How long we keep it
Waitlist data: for as long as the waitlist is active and for up to twelve months after YourCFO launches or the project is discontinued, whichever comes first.
Account, company setup and uploaded accounting files: for as long as your account exists, because they are what the service works on. If you ask us to close your account, we delete them within fifteen business days of receiving your request. The same applies to any earlier deletion request.
7. Your rights and how to use them
You can ask us at any time to: know what data about you we hold; get a copy of it; correct it if it is wrong or incomplete; delete it; or withdraw the consent you gave. Write to yourcfo@tankmail.lat from the address you signed up with, or tell us which address to look up, and state what you want done. We answer within fifteen business days.
8. Applicable framework
YourCFO addresses businesses in Colombia and Mexico. For people in Colombia, this policy follows Ley 1581 de 2012 and Decreto 1377 de 2013 on the protection of personal data; if you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio. For people in Mexico, it follows the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares (LFPDPPP) and its regulations, and you may turn to the competent data-protection authority.
9. Security
Access is limited to the people named in section 5. Waitlist data is not published anywhere on this site: there is no public page or endpoint that reads back names, emails or messages. Your company setup and your uploaded files sit behind your account: every private page and every private endpoint requires a valid session, and every query is filtered by the account that owns the data, so another account's record answers as if it did not exist. Passwords are stored as scrypt hashes with a random salt, and the session identifier is kept server-side behind an httpOnly cookie. We do not claim any security certification or third-party audit, we make no backup or availability commitment, and no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. Please do not send confidential financial information through the public waitlist form — it is not the place for it.
10. Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or third-party tracking scripts. It does not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date shown at the top. Material changes affecting people already on the waitlist or with an open account will be communicated by email to the address they registered.
